Reminds me of the story that had Rommel and Guderian going through what would eventually be 3rd Reich armored tactics with guys carry pieced of board around on a soccer field, yelling “I am a tank!” or “I am an artillery position!” (probably funnier in the original in German)
First as tragedy, then as farce…
