www.kansas.com -- Michael Hofmann, vice president and chief risk officer of Koch Industries, has been named to the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank's Economic Advisory Council. Hofmann was one of four appointments made to the group that meets with Kansas City Fed President Thomas Hoenig twice a year to discuss the regional economy. Hofmann will serve a three-year term on the council. He is the only Wichitan to serve on the council that comprises business and labor officials in the Fed's 10th District, which encompasses Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, northern New Mexico and the western third of Missouri.
