The editorial standards of literary culture are stuck in 1903. It’s time to start chopping the rotted wood, not roll over to a dying industry and its dying, boring sensibilities.

It’s only shocking since people aren’t used to seeing heresies and immorality in editorial voices. People are accustomed to seeing them in every single other medium, however. Let the old newspaper hacks see how useful their boring-assed shtick is in ten years. You don’t look so proud about having to be scrounging for your next fucking meals, motherfuckers! How does it feel, anyway?

Matt Taibbi’s already the most popular guy on that new journo web site. And lesbians on the Rachel Maddow show were sure having real fun with those teabagging jokes that woulda horrified brainwashed PC lesbians ten years ago. The voice of reason and dead baby jokes is small, but it is persistent.

If you really crave recognition from the world of political journalism then maybe you ought to consider doing things like laying off from making your witticisms about dead babies in your ‘what you should know’ column for a while. Humour is an oddly subjective thing and not everyone finds that stuff as hiliarious as you clearly do.

Important journalists, (or even Luke Harding) are hardly going to point their readers to a site that’s liable to offend them.

That really was quite a preemptive rape, considering the whole point, theoretically, was the grassroots spontaneity. Santelli bowed out sheerly because of Google researching concerns.
