The current health system does effect us veterans. I am a disabled veteran with multiple mental disorders including PTSD. I have had over 14 surgeries prior to discharge. I cannot get health insurance for my family. Even though the veteran is covered by VA for service connected disabilities and other related issues, I cannot get private health insurance for my family because of my pre-existing conditions. I will not choose to use the private health system for military veteran issues, but I have been, as well as my wife and 3 children from getting health care. Therefore, my family is currently uninsured. Therefore, it is not just the ones that cannot afford insurance, but the veterans that can afford insurance is also being discriminated against.

Numbers concerning the argument between Ames and Spitzer would be nice. What are the statistics saying about random shootings? Are those incidents increasing or decreasing? What about criminal activity in general?

Enjoyed the Spitzer/Ames segment on Ratigan’s show. I’d never seen Ratigan’s show and tend to think of cable news as a wasteland, but that was actually a good segment.

The Stephen A. Smith one was…well, I suppose I can’t say for sure since I didn’t finish it.
