It seems Mormonism is just as insane as sects like Catholicism and Judaism. All claiming without proof that their magic rituals will decide who gets to have eternal post-death orgasms at will, and who gets to be tortured by the loving Yahweh for all eternity long after his memory of his life on earth is gone.

Then they snicker at the atheists and goyim for not being among God's pets. So whether or not you dip me in water, symbolically murdering my heathen soul to replace it with a purer right-belief one, determines what happens to me after death? Did you really check with Yahweh about that?

A word to the wise: there is more pleasure in one chocolate bar than in all the religious ceremonies combined.

CapnDad, I understand that they always want you to share genealogical info when you use THEIR info and facilities. Guess what they do with it? Yep, into the baptismal font with them.

I come from a Mormon / Jewish family and can tell you that Mormons are fucked up beyond belief. I researched into suing the church to stop the practice and found out that it has been done numerous times, in many nations and although each time the Church has promised not to do it, they keep doing it anyways excusing themselves that is the faithful that do it and not they. Bull shit!! they preach it from the pulpits.

My ancestors were burned alive in Spain not to become Catholics, were then exiled from their lands only to have the Nazis invade the Netherlands centuries later, just to burn them in ovens again. But here 3 of their descended daughters decide to marry Mormons -- 2 convert and then these ladies -- my aunts and 1 sister included, think that is alright to basically shit all over the suffering that our people had --- I'm sure this must be similar to other religions as well, not just Jews being dipped in the tank after death. I was taught the Mormon doctrines since childhood by overzealous cousins and neighbors. Let me tell you, its more absurd than almost any Christina faith except the southern baptist or a few other insane cults like the Branch Davidians. I don't believe it but I still get irate when they do their after death marriages, baptisms and so forth.

Ya can't make this stuff up, folks!

I'm not a Mormon but have been studying my family history for about fifteen years, often with the help of LDS records.

I descend from Rev. Moranda Tackett, a noted Indian fighter and a fire-and-brimstone preacher. His brother Martin's widow and most of his extended family were murdered by Paiute Indians and Mormon militiamen at the Mountain Meadows Massacre in 1857. The dead included old people and babies in the arms of their mothers.

LDS records show that Moranda was "sealed". I can only smile at what his reaction would have been upon learning that he was Mormon with no effort or desire on his part.

I can assure you that I don't believe and it sure as hell matters.
