Ilya Zatsirkin

An Omsk man who as a boy went into his closet during a game of hide and seek unexpectedly emerged from under a pile of clothes last week-and raced for home!

“Safe!” cried Ilya Zatsirkin, 80, as he touched a rusted bicycle lying in the center of a courtyard outside his house.

Last seen in 1929, Zatsirkin’s disappearance went unnoticed in his neighborhood due to the untimely arrest of his parents, who never came home on the day of the fateful game. They had been detained when local police caught them stepping in a puddle in the shape of the profile of Leon Trotsky.
