www.vvdailypress.com -- Deputies responding to a man with a gun report came under fire Monday morning, sparking a gun battle with some 30 shots exchanged, according to witnesses.When a motorcycle deputy arrived at the location in the 17900 block of Live Oak Street near I Avenue around 11 a.m., Chad Vasquez, 38, of Hesperia, began to fire on the deputy, according to witnesses and authorities.Witnesses said a shoot-out ensued between the lone deputy and the man, with reports of shotgun blasts and handgun fire leaving at least two homes riddled with bullets.
