I’d suggest fact-checking anything you get from Saipansucks. While it has more truth than many people would like, others argue, correctly, that it also has more hyperbole and outright falsehoods.

My recollection, and I’ve been here for more than 20 years, is that the majority of the murders were Chinese-on-Chinese and usually gang-related. That, and the drugs and gambling which caused the violence, were also a result of the open door for cheap labor.

With far more information than your cursory internet search, I am waiting for more facts before I leap to conclusions.
