A shit novel, but the ending in which a kamikaze pilot flew a plane into the white house was memorable enough. As I finished the book on september 9th 2001, I remember agreeing with blurb 'An ending so simple, shocking and powerful that it makes you wonder why no one has done it yet'. Tom Clancy has of course been strangely silent on how he might have been an inspiration for 9/11... The only Tom Clancy novel I ever read was ‘Debt of Honour’.
