Dear eXiled... / January 8, 2009
By Team eXiled

Hi,

I wrote you a letter years ago and i was astonished to find (when doing an ego search) my name on the net. I hate finding my name on the net, I don’t have a net presence! Can you please remove any reference to me or not use my name. I was young and foolish then. Here’s the reference I mean. It’s the second piece on the page. It’s so old now.

http://exiledonline.com/old-exile/vault/letters/sic82.html

Thanks,

Coral Lippiatt

*****

Dear eXiled Readers,

Should we do as Ms. Lippiatt asks and whitewash history by deleting the follies of her youth from The eXile record? Or does her letter prove that she’s learned nothing in adulthood, and therefore is in serious need of some tough love?

Vote in our poll below! And post punishment suggestions in the comments.

Maybe rename her signature as “Corale
    ‘Furry Lips’ Lippiat”.
    Judgement must stand,
but her fears should arouse our pity.

  • 2. farmer iggy  |  January 8th, 2009 at 12:20 pm

Coral Lippiatt didn’t make the case that Coral Lippiatt’s letter should be deleted. Coral Lippiatt is no longer young but Coral Lippiatt is still foolish.

  • 3. aleke  |  January 8th, 2009 at 12:27 pm

I got my name all over the internet Where I Don’t Want It est. 2002 so I’ll change my vote if google will delete me off their caches.

  • 4. ddd  |  January 8th, 2009 at 12:38 pm

Holy shit holy shit major find: her 3 posts on this thread

    http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/AS-and-Proud-of-it/message/1767

in the “Autism Spectrum and Proud Of It” forum.

    my favorite quote so far:

“Gee Martha, in my travels through the strange and esoteric world of
psychiatry trying to get diagnosed, I’d have to say there’s a large
contingent of control freaks lurking in the medical professions. And I may be
treading on some toes here, but it hadn’t escaped my notice as a kind of
aut-tourist in the world that you can sometimes find control freaks in the
    ranks of moms as well!

I think sometimes there’s a kind of indomitability in (late diagnosed) AS
because you often need a sheer determination to survive/succeed, often
against all odds and without much help or understanding.

    Stepping down now,

    Coral”

As far as what to do here, I dunno whether it’s so ridiculous that it should be given prominent placement on some eXiled fan club page, or so sad as to be just uncomfortable and worth ignoring….

Eight years ago when Ms Lippiatt clicked “submit”, she did more than just send [sic] a letter, she submitted herself to the unyielding momentum of the wheel of history.

Eight years later, she finds herself bound to try and gain an exemption from the laws of nature by submitting herself to those very same laws. Oh, vanity of vanities! Isn’t her punishment self-evident?

  • 6. wengler  |  January 8th, 2009 at 6:01 pm

The google monster will get us all in the end. It doesn’t matter if you delete her, the digital corridors of your fine publication will be stained by the residue of her embarrassment.

If she doesn’t like it she can change her name to Jenny Smith.

  • 7. geo8rge  |  January 8th, 2009 at 7:28 pm

How about we all post stuff all over the net under her name, then she can claim she was the victim of a psychotic X boy friend.

Or we can post stuff all over the net that is obviously not from her, then she can claim all the posts are from a different person with the same name.

Or we can post piles of boring bland posts all over the net, and anyone searching her out will give up after reading a few of the posts.

That letter is pretty well-written. It’s kind of like a counter-screening, where if a company hired idiots THAT stupid to run their HR division, to discount you over liking the old Exile at some point, you wouldn’t want to work for them. And trust me, smart people don’t want to work for idiots. It’s a living nightmare. No boss will forgive you being smarter than them. The first 100 guys competent enough to build houses got them burned down by people infuriated by the moral violation that is a house. Simply being intelligent is a moral violation, to most people, unless officially sanctioned. People are scum.

Didn’t Coral Lippiatt learn anything from the tragic case of Greg Comlish?

  • 10. Raad  |  January 9th, 2009 at 1:27 am

@8 Lol hail to the chief baby!

  • 11. Erik B.  |  January 9th, 2009 at 3:23 am

If nobody else has the moral fiber to say it, I guess I’ll have to: She should be put out of her misery.

I’d be happy to donate $30 for the purchase of a hitman and I’m sure the readers of this esteemed philanthropic website could shell out the necessary compassion (i.e. cash) to help this poor woman. Just give us a dedicated Pay-Pal account; I’m sure his Nerdship would be happy to be of assistance.

For the betterment of mankind, gentlemen: fork over the greenbacks! This woman is crying for help!

Would make a great Death Porn installment too.

  • 13. Pilgrim  |  January 9th, 2009 at 7:57 am

    Dear Coral Lippiatt:

That’s why writers and journalists sometimes use pseudonyms, and why everyone uses a nickname in Internet. To be able to keep a clean record for his/her true identity.

Too bad you fucked up. If you mind that much, maybe you should considerate a legal name change. It’s a possibility in most countries.

    Best Regards

  • 14. ricardo bransono  |  January 9th, 2009 at 9:42 am

I would say, a giant bukkake on her face.

  • 15. Timmy  |  January 9th, 2009 at 10:31 am

Another idea is take the letter off if she sends a jpg of her snapper – with a valid piece of photo ID in the picture. I guess that would be blackmail though….

  • 16. goat_farmers_of_the_CIA  |  January 9th, 2009 at 11:14 am

And just yesterday, as I have been doing almost every day since I posted it, I was thinking of asking youtube to remove a comment I made where I, a spoilt bourgeois brat, insulted a spoilt petite burgeois brat for being such a stupid female petite burgeois spoilt brat. For such blatant hipocrisy and lack of respect to History (and I have a BA on that!), I would deserve two 3,000 pound LGB’s , at least, I suppose, but thanks to the eXile’s wisdom I have been saved! Praised be the eXile! I kneel, kiss the earth and stand a hundred times facing towards Panama.

  • 17. postzavtra  |  January 10th, 2009 at 12:10 am

    Original Letter:
“…I suspect I may be simple. When I was younger I thought that sex was a joke that only fools feel compelled to take part in, but now I’m sure of it, so I’m celibate.”

    Current Letter:
“…Can you please remove any reference to me or not use my name. I was young and foolish then.”

“Simple,” “celibate,” “foolish”, forever “young,” and stupid is no way to go through life, Ms. Coral Lippiatt.

I say send her an eXile t-shirt with “No Regrets” custom stenciled on the back.

  • 18. wank  |  January 11th, 2009 at 6:17 am

Coral Lippiatt. a purdy name that is.

a name bound for greatness, that shouldn’t be relegated and marginalized only in the letter section of exile.

coral lippiatt. ah yes, a name like that oughta expand, seize zenith rapturously and shake the foundation of exileonline. amongst other things.

Coral lippiatt, why she should have her own CORAL LIPPIATT section here.

And it shall be called Coral Lippiatt.

where there, various follies committed by half-assed miscreants in the net are written in a prose format. and there she will expand, along with her Coral Lippiattness.

ah, Coral Lippiatt. the buzz of my maryjane. the eye of my apple. the cowards of my gays. the corals of my lippaitt.

coral lippiatt. what a purdy name.

Coral’s letters are pretty much the only thing I’ve EVER seen in the Exile that could be described as ‘charming’. As such they’re probably completely out of place and in need of purging from the site, contents, email and all…

  • 22. nobody  |  January 18th, 2009 at 9:23 pm

Well I’m flattered that you could all take the time out of your busy lives to have a chat about me.

I don’t even read this publication anymore. I lost interest and assumed you had gone the way of all flesh. Why you would even bother putting your archives online is a mystery, there’s certainly nothing there of any import, including me.

There’s a similarity to the writing style of most of these comments that makes me wonder…

    nobody

  • 23. nobody  |  January 19th, 2009 at 5:27 pm

Well, since you’ve taken such an interest in me I returned the favour and looked up exile’s wikipaedia entry, where it says you’re pretty much broke and that you’re a heroin addict. These two facts should explain to readers why you now appeal to them to support you financially.

    I don’t see this lasting.

  • 24. Tam  |  January 20th, 2009 at 11:03 am

I’ve just looked at the results of the vote and shocked at how many people want to humiliate this poor woman. And theses comments! There’s clearly some real pond-life coming to this site. Maybe they need to lay off the whore-mongering for a while to bring down their levels of anger towards women a little bit?

  • 25. The Amazing Crustacean  |  January 25th, 2009 at 12:52 am

Quite honestly, whore-mongering helps one respect women, not the other way around. Besides, Ms. Coral Lippiatt seems pretty upset and that’s not a good thing. No one should ever, ever, have to be upset or be upset by anything. Ever. Period. And if you do so you’re a bad, bad, bad, man/woman who should never, ever, ever be forgiven, because making someone feel bad is bad bad bad.

  • 26. john  |  February 22nd, 2009 at 2:45 am

Too bad Ames don’t talk like he writes.

  • 27. Plamen Petkov  |  February 22nd, 2009 at 6:43 am

everybody’s talking about bailout, economic crises yet NOBODY but a few “crazy” conspiracy theorists have pointed the *real* heart of the problem:
“Capitalism” as it stands is a sham. Put more bluntly: capitalism is a game based on debt controlled by bankers through their issuance of credit.
Every talking head/suit who is on TV anywhere is trying to convince us that we NEED the banks so they can lend us money in this so called capitalists society. Obviously this is total bunk. We DO NO need banks nor we need credit to buy that big screen TV or start a business. This is a fallacy most sheeple accept as a part of life. Wake up and smell the coffee people!
