Moscow detectives have finally completed their investigation into one of the gnarliest child molestation cases to hit the Moscow region in years. Police are accusing a 43 year-old Tatarin of molesting dozens of elementary-school age girls in the Pavlovo-Posadsky region of the Moscow oblast. What's unusual about this parlicular pervert was his method of gaining access to his victims. Probably taking a page from Russia's banking elite, he decided, rather than troll the streets for innocent girls, to apply for state assistance in pulling off his crimes. He went to the local administration and asked to create a vocational after-school program in his apartment, promising to teach children how to type and perform other skills-and even receive a small salary for their trouble.
"Ma'am, your breasts are so ugly, I'll have to put you to sleep."
Local officials for some reason had no problem with a single 43 year-old man with no pedagogic qualifications offering to pay 5 year-old girls to type and granted his request. The school was quickly set up with state help and the suspect, according to police, soon had a system worked out. His male students were indeed paid for learning how to type, while his female students had to perform additional services. His pay scale worked out to look something like this: 2-3 thousand rubles for sitting on the teacher's knee, 5 thousand rubles for letting him feel around in their underpants, and 10 thousand rubles and up for sex. Amazingly, he recorded his expenses along with notations for services rendered in a special folder, which may or may not help the experimental jury in this case reach its verdict.

A Fresh Start

Just so you know: Moscow police report that there were 8 suicides in the capital on January 1, more than four times the municipal average.According to Moskovsky Komsomolets, that number included one self-immolation and one murder-suicide. S novim godom, eXholes!

"My God, my God, what have I done? My own beloved wife!"

Yet Another Unsolved High-Profile Contract Killing

Message to Moscow businessmen: don't go downstairs. Just don't do it! Stay up in your apartment. Especially if you're a real hotshot, like Yevgeny Tsimbalistov, the director of the Hotel "Russia." Tsimbalistov was assassinated last Friday, January 9, after he left his apartment on Ulitsa Bolshiye Kamenshiki at 8:25 and headed downstairs. By 8:30 he was dead, riddled with bullets by at least two assassins who had been waiting in his podyezd. A cleaning woman discovered the body about 15 minutes later and, apparently not noticing the bullet holes, called the police to report a dead homeless man in her building. Th body was finally identified by Tsimbalistov's limo driver, who had been waiting, Robert-Park like, for 40 minutes for his boss. Officially there is as yet no obvious motive for the killing, but police believe the crime was connected, so to speak, with the professional activities of the victim.
