Nothing that eBay does comes as a surprise to me and I can tell you from firsthand experience that when it comes to fraud on eBay, the UK police just don’t want to know and the trading standards play you along and then try to cover it up even with solid evidence against a serial fraudster selling 100’s of cars a year.
Last year 2000 policemen receive so called special training from eBay and that’s like the police using the Mafia for gun control lesson given eBays reputation and yet despite this special training there were only able to make 70 arrest for online fraud over the whole year.
I run the eBuster,co,uk site that contains 1000’s of adverts were feedback is being offered for sale on eBay and the only action I see is eBay deleting messages from the forums when the subject is mentioned.
It would be very interesting to hear what Meg has to say about this and then people can judge for themselves if she is fit to run for office.
