retard-1 -- Foes of proposed mosques have deployed dogs to intimidate Muslims holding prayer services and spray painted "Not Welcome" on a construction sign, then later ripped it apart. In the Nashville suburb of Murfreesboro, opponents of a new Islamic center say they believe the mosque will be more than a place of prayer. They are afraid the 15-acre site that was once farmland will be turned into a terrorist training ground for Muslim militants bent on overthrowing the U.S. government."They are not a religion. They are a political, militaristic group," said Bob Shelton, a 76-year-old retiree who lives in the area.

Mark – do you ever get hate mail from your fellow Americans or are they too dumb and downtrodden even to do that?

and you’re still saying “America’s the greatest place on Earth”, and Europeans are “pussies” and fags, right?? :)))

It’s not as if the Church of Tennessee (Southern Baptists) does not have a history of terrorism. Draw a map of lynching sites over the last century, draw another of where Southen Baptists were popular and I’ll bet you’ll find a big over-lap.

…how many of these people were out protesting Christian churches when gay lynching and abortion doctor shootings took place?

I propose a system to help these people identify religious groups they want to drive out: simply spray painting a little yellow star on their houses would go a long way to helping organize things.

So who’s the dumbfuck peelin’ out in the wheelchair?
Couldn’t find a reference anywhere in the article.
    If that’s America, we’re doomed.

I call unfair! This is going on in Europe too, not just American podunks. Even high class places like Switzerland banned mineretes. In fact the Euros started it first.

Hey, We have to fight them over here so we can continue fighting them over there.

zhubajie is also unfair as the lynchings stopped when the police finally took over responsibility for extra judicial killings, just like other countries not run by DFs. See: Freddy Hampton.

You know something strange? As stupid as these people are who are protesting against freedom in the USA and don’t even realize it. I can’t help but feel, on the other hand, the American people have acted like a herd of sheep for so long, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, I’m glad some one is pissed about something. Even a cause as ridiculous as this one. I feel a bit encouraged. Now would someone please go too far and piss off the intelligent majority so we can tear this silly bitch down.

It isn’t as if any rational person still believes the USA is a free country. Think about it. No-warrant wire taps, indefinite detention of citizens without charges, approval of rendition of prisoners and torture, stop and frisk without probable cause, search and seizure without a warrant, no-knock entry, confiscation and destruction of cameras that might have been used to film police acting illegally, police brutality, police shootings that go without investigation, managed news, and the civil-rights destroying “Patriot” Act.

Acts of police behaving illegally, with shootings, tasers, and unwarranted violence now appear almost daily. Rarely are these offenses punished. Most often “an investigation” is claimed, but soon forgotten.

In addition, the USA, with 5% of the world population, has 25% of all of the prisoners in the world. That means the USA has the most people in prison of any nation in history. Even by percentage of residents incarcerated, not just sheer numbers. USA is # 1

Does any of that sound like a free country?
