Exiled’s photo selections are often sublime, but allow this fan boy to grouse. You still need to find your Ralph Steadman, either a cartoonist or a photoshopper. Maybe look for an anonymous young talent on Fark.com. Your good eye for photos shouldn’t have to carry your full visual presentation. This is the Photoshop equivalent of clip art. I say that with love.

sure I appreciate AEC’s overall sentiment, but I must agree with #1 here. Sophomoric graphics coarsen this site’s rarified, elegant tone.

When in doubt, just apply the acid-tested rule “What would Thomas Friedman respect?”
