Looks like I picked the wrong day to quit blogging!

I’ll kick things off: strategically speaking, it probably would have been better to just let him die of kidney failure or whatever unglamorous chronic disease was eating him.

Think about the WN article on the Shining Path leader: humiliating him dressed as a bumble bee was a lot more effective than publicly executing him.

  • 2. Rory  |  May 2nd, 2011 at 11:30 am

I hate to be the dick that says it, but that picture’s a fake, and I’m a little surprised that you folks of all people wouldn’t recognize it as being a forgery. The color of the mouth and beard area is a different skin tone, with a different level of focus and resolution, and the mouth and beard region have distinctive feathering around them. And also happen to be the exact same angle and pose as this

    Where are you Brecher?

  • 4. Mac  |  May 2nd, 2011 at 1:59 pm

Wasn’t it a bit strange with that hasty burial at sea?

Not saying it wasn’t Bin Laden, I’m quite sure it was. But was he really killed? Perhaps they got him out alive and the spooks are wiring him up at this very moment for some intel-gathering sessions before his eventual burial at sea?

  • 5. derpotism  |  May 2nd, 2011 at 6:42 pm

ahahhaha Gary Brecher killed Bin Laden
Im just really pissed hes dead because there was a million bucks on his head I cant collect now

  • 6. fischbyne  |  May 2nd, 2011 at 10:08 pm

The American people are quite confused just now. For 10 years they were led to believe that we are at “war” with something called “al Qaeda,” which conveniently made a diffuse jihadist, anti-American sentiment sound like some kind of sovereign state. The death of bin Laden offers a opportunity to finally explain to the American people that terrorism is better understood as a crime and that is most effectively fought with police actions. The rest of the world (except Israel) understands this, but there will be no “teachable moment.” Obama cannot contest the hysteria created by Bush’s “war” fallacy. Meanwhile, the US media overlords are challenged to at once celebrate the death of the “enemy leader” while they try to explain to Americans that, well, we are still widely hated. The talking heads look so nervous and desperate as they mindlessly rush to preserve the war mentality that Bush/Cheney trained them to dish out.

@7 (you): question why WN’s minions took a perfectly good picture of Charlie Koch and made him look like un sicario de mierda who just got blown nine ways from Sunday by a table-top dancer from Acuña. Ask how soon bin Ladin’s little hideaway is going to be featured on House Hunters International. Ask one of Yomama Osama’s wives if he preferred camels to her . . . and if not, why the hell not?

You gotta ‘pro-up’, Dwayne. Ask those probing questions. Don’t expect anything from WN. He’s on a religious retreat. You’ve got to respect that.

  • 9. Tyler  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 12:39 am

Some of my more liberal friends are angry about all the celebrating saying it is wrong to celebrate the “murder” of another human being.

    I say screw that…

  • 10. Nick  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 1:41 am

Rory is correct. That picture is clearly fake.

Which is not to imply his death was faked.

Where did you source it from?

  • 11. Ragnarokoff  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 3:23 am

I guess you think you made a clever point. inb4 1000 jackasses like you, who ll rip off orwell (dont you know dolan hates orwell?) and compare osama to goldstein:

Let me clarify something, you morons. Osama existed, he was just shitty as his job. But half-ass superpowers like Soviet Union in the 1980s and US these days deserve nothing better.

  • 12. Esn  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 4:54 am

From what I can tell, Rory’s right; no actual picture has been released yet, so some news organization faked their own, and it went viral. At least, MSNBC seems to think so:

  • 13. freeman  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 5:39 am

Yea, they buried his body at sea out of respect for islam.
They knew it was him (in spite of the fact that a person’s looks tend to change when they get shot in the face).
They would NEVER bury him at sea for the reason that mobsters do the same thing: so that it would never be found and they
get to be the only ones telling the story…

From another blog (Not my writing):

    Empire and Rebellion said…

Is Bin Laden buried at sea:

    Near the Iraq WMDs?

    In the Gulf of Tonkin?

Across from the USS Maine (but turn around if you come to the USS Liberty — you’ve passed it)?

Behind the box containing all the unrecovered 9/11 airliner flight recorders?

On a shelf with the US weapons COL Oliver North sold to Iran in his little Enterprise just after convincing his buddies in Iran to wait to release the American hostages until AFTER the 1980 US presidential election and induction ceremony on Jan 3?

In a cupboard that’s holding the video cameras the government confiscated from Manhattan on 9/11?

For the same reason the world trade center debris was shipped over seas before anyone could investigate the material?

Because the Republicans would still want his birth certificate, then his other birth certificate, then his school records?

  • 14. Tyler  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 10:08 am

Really what could Brecher be doing that is so important right now that he was able to blog for the past 40 days religiously leading up to this event and now can’t even get a word out?

Someone please go collect Brecher from the crack house.

I keep refreshing this stupid page thinking even Charlie Sheen has managed to opine on Bin Laden’s death, surely Brecher will have by now. But no. No Breacher. Just stupid Koch articles. I’m sick of Koch! Sick of it! I know they are terrorists too! But until Seal Team Six goes in and wastes them in an amazing operation I’m just far too ADD to care.

  • 15. CensusLouie  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 2:53 pm

    @ Tyler

It sure beats having “conservative” friends who secretly want to pop the champagne cork every time a Democratic politician or women’s clinic doctor gets assassinated by domestic terrorists.

It SHOULD make Americans sick to see crowds of people waving the flag around for this because it’s saying this country should jerk off to the act of bloodthirsty revenge itself rather than killing as a means to an end. People celebrating this are either the idiots thinking Bin Laden is a Bond villain and killing him will make his volcano fortress self destruct, or are flat out jacking off to bloodthirsty murder porn.

  • 16. CensusLouie  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 2:58 pm

I mean to put it another way, if people like you had a choice between:

A.) Getting their brown people snuff porn, but not actually doing anything about stopping terrorist activity.

B.) Quietly, effectively conducting counter-terrorism via police actions, favorable economic conditions, and bloodless propaganda.

You closet brown shirt motherfuckers would choose A every single time.

  • 17. sanjuro  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 4:01 pm

Looks like the fake photo is a composite of the one from the Daily Mail and this one:

Pretty convincing though, had me fooled until I did a reverse image search

  • 18. irflx  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 4:22 pm

Someone should start printing t-shirts that say “I killed Osama bin Laden and all I got was this lousy Presidential Unit Citation”. Seriously, the CMO is out of the question since the names of the recipients are disclosed, and shooting an unarmed man and his old lady – however vile – hardly counts as “valor”. Navy Cross or DSM? Not as high-profile but still rare. That’s pretty much it, folks.

I keep seeing comments about “missed opportunity” to capture the bastard, and just have to laugh. Firstly, there can be no “lawful” order to capture anyone alive at any cost. The guys in the military may not enjoy the same rights us civvies do, but the right to self-defense is universal. So even if the angry beard was tossing old copies of Koran at the assault team, they’d be legally justified to drop him.

  • 19. Door A Jar  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 5:22 pm

Is it kosher to call first dibs on Osama’s youngest child bride?

  • 20. Sammy  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 5:29 pm

Yeah… CIA and their Top Photoshop operatives.
and now Obama saids, that is pondering show other pictures cuz is to violente. how can it be worst than photoshop?

  • 21. andrew  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 7:12 pm

the title of this.. whatever this is. post? it’s exactly what i was thinking as i typed exiledonline into the browser.. brecher killed osama and the exiled can read my mind!!

  • 22. fischbyne  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 8:32 pm

Apologies if I sounded like Orwell. I was trying to sound like Gore Vidal.

  • 23. Karl  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 9:57 pm

It’s odd how Al-Zawahiri has not commented yet on Bin Laden’s death.

Maybe he got tired of being the #2 man in AQ, told JSOC where to find Osama through third party cut-outs, and collected the $25 million reward, which ironically, he will use for future terrorist attacks upon America.

  • 24. I C IT  |  May 3rd, 2011 at 10:59 pm

    Picture is a fakey-poo boo-boo. Nighty-night.

  • 27. Bester  |  May 4th, 2011 at 5:32 am

Awesome shit presented by a russian weapons nerd

  • 28. Tyler  |  May 4th, 2011 at 7:46 am

Based on his disappearance, I have no choice but to believe that Brecher was not Dolan, but actually Bin Laden.

  • 29. Frank  |  May 8th, 2011 at 4:10 pm

I mean come onnnnnn, its been a week now!
Can we get a heads up at least to know if Gary will ever come back? Or has he gone for a long long while like the last time?
I am getting RSI just from refreshing the exiled pages, to see if the WN has resurfaced for air…
