Jesus, are we on the left STILL stuck in this absurd dead-end obsession with JFK? Get over it, move on–you know? Like what the Bush people said in the 2000 Florida elections, or what Obama’s saying now post-Health Care law: “move on.” Cause when we move on, we’ve moved on, and it proves that we’re the type who keep moving rather than the types who stay in one place. As for Kennedy, it’s all really so simple, you don’t need no Ivory Tower elitist to get all nuanced about it or anything. He was a hawkish corporatist with no especially left-wing commitments, and not one of the dozens of mutually incompatible theories about his assassination make any great deal of sense. If you don’t like Posner, try Bugliosi, who is no rightist shill (cf. “The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder.”)

    @ Evan Harper

Ultrarightwing oligarchs don’t need a legitimate threat from the left to get all riled up, an Obama/JFK will do just fine
