Black Tea Party

seattletimes.nwsource.com -- They've been called Oreos, traitors and Uncle Toms, and are used to having to defend their values. Now black conservatives are really taking heat for their involvement in the mostly white tea party movement - and for having the audacity to oppose the policies of the nation's first black president."I've been told I hate myself. I've been called an Uncle Tom. I've been told I'm a spook at the door," said Timothy F. Johnson, chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a group of black conservatives who support free market principles and limited government."Black Republicans find themselves always having to prove who they are. Because the assumption is the Republican Party is for whites and the Democratic Party is for blacks," he said.Johnson and other black conservatives say they were drawn to the tea party movement because of what they consider its commonsense fiscal values of controlled spending, less taxes and smaller government. The fact that they're black - or that most tea partyers are white - should have nothing to do with it, they say."You have to be honest and true to yourself. What am I supposed to do, vote Democratic just to be popular? Just to fit in?" asked Clifton Bazar, a 45-year-old New Jersey freelance photographer and conservative blogger.Opponents have branded the tea party as a group of racists hiding behind economic concerns - and reports that some tea partyers were lobbing racist slurs at black congressmen during last month's heated health care vote give them ammunition. But these black conservatives don't consider racism representative of the movement as a whole - or race a reason to support it.Angela McGlowan, a black congressional candidate from Mississippi, said her tea party involvement is "not about a black or white issue."

A significant portion of the Tea Party movement is comprised of surreptitiously racist white people who share only ONE basic common demominator; they CAN’T STAND having a black president. It simply drives them nuts. And when you have a lies-thru-his-teeth, corrupt corporate sellout SOB POS like THIS one, even WORSE!

These inconsiderate racists need to STOP hating president Mobamba for just a moment and ponder the fact that he’s simply a MEAT PUPPET of Goldman Sachs. The strings that come out of his ass lead directly to the REAL culprits …JEWS!

PS: Just kidding but then again ..not really.

I really wish the Panthers were still around.

Blacks have jumped from the frying pan into another form of slavery, just as planned. They need another movement, preferably armed and willing to fight, to get out of this.

“Blacks ….need another movement, preferably armed and willing to fight, to get out of this.”

They’re ALREADY ‘armed & willing to fight’. Problem is it’s usually with EACH OTHER. THAT’S always been the insurmountable problem of the black race; they’re EASILY manipulated and played-off against one another.
Today the brothers may prefer not to talk about it, but back in the days of slavery GUESS WHO was constantly supplying the white european slave traders with freshly raided merchandise?

While the “Tea Party” (could they have been anymore cliche and uncreative?) had a nice premise, it was very quickly co-opted and subverted by ultra-conservative nutjobs, the “pretty” Maverick, parts of Faux News, etc. The majority of its members have no real idea what is really going on, only that “debt is bad” and “the banks…they fucking DID it.”

Most are republican “converts” whom, like the article’s title implies, are Ayn “Serial-Kill Me” Rand neophytes. They also want to go back to “the good old days of 1776” (ironic, since their was no middle-class. You had poor farmers, meager artisans, and then the rich plantation owners (Washington, Jefferson, etc.))

If you meet one, don’t just ad hominem them till they pull their open-carry Colt 1911 on you; try to provide facts and hope for the best. Otherwise, sit back and watch the partiers with the more “lucid vision of 1776” Joe Stack themselves into IRS buildings, the White House and Starbucks (that’s where all those big-gov. liberals hang out).

Blacks are a non-issue. By 2050 we’ll be allied with them against the Mexican Horde. U.S. won’t even survive that long anyways. Expect crime to fucking sky-rocket into 2012. Muah!

The guy on the left, is it Flavor Flav?

I wonder why none of the commentators have addressed the point of this article?

The story is that of a black conservative who is attacked by rascist white and black democrats and called racial slurs for being a conservative and tea party member.

All of these teabagger articles and cries of tea party racism have no grounds in reality. Black conservatives feel perfectly comfortable in the non-racial multiethnic tea party movement. I feel the preoccupation that the left has with race just goes to show how racist they really are. Everything is about colour.

Martin Luther King would be proud that the Al Sharptons and the Dems who seemingly inherited the civil rights movement have found such value and feel so comfortable judging a man by the colour of their skin and not the content of their character.
