"Typical rookie mistake. Unless this Bivens guy really did sire two kids with different parents within seven months of each other, the two ages should have been set off by commas and put in separate clauses. I would have changed this to "...two daughters, one 3 years old, the other 10 months." You see this a lot in kids coming out of college now. They're just not getting the coaching."
